The Design Team is responsible for integrating scientific and engineering principles, ideas and concepts into the prototype of the robot. The mechanisms they design will be tested out and determined which work best before the final robot is built.
The Build Team works closely with The Design Team to make the prototype come to life. The Build Team has knowledge of all tools used in the Robotics Lab, including power tools, hand tools, and 3D Printing. They construct all aspects of the Robot, including the wiring, pneumatics and metal fabrication.
The Code Team writes code using LabView and works alongside The Build Team to make the parts of the Robot functional. The Code Team develops code so the Robot can both - control itself autonomously, and manually through human control.
Our PR and Media Team designs our t-shirts, posters, flyers, banners, logos, buttons, and videos. They also are responsible for social media content and other public relation apps. This team also plans on ways to reach out to domestic and international teams to offer support.
The Safety and Strategy team is in charge of creating a safe environment for team members during build season and during the competition. In addition, they are also responsible for scouting and developing strategy and winning objectives for our team during the competition.
The Business Team has ensured the financial sustainability of the Copiague Eagles Robotics team. They oversee all sponsorships, fundraising, outreach, and awards. Each year the Business Team will develop a business, sponsorship and diversity plan.
Copiague Eagles Robotics is dedicated to enriching the education of its members by facilitating a real-world experience in the applications of engineering and STEM. In addition, team members are able to build professional skills through exposure to the organization and operations of a business.
We strive to make a lasting impact on team members, our school and community that supports us. We are proud to be a completely student-run team and our finished projects are always the result of our student’s work.
Congratulations to the Copiague Robotics Team for their success this weekend at the Hofstra robotics competition. There is an immense sense of pride and gratitude as
“Coopertition” and “Gracious Professionalism” are the core values of Dr. Woodie Flowers, co-founder of FIRST Robotics, that separate our sport from others. Fierce competition and
